Siren Call

During London’s lockdown, volunteers came together in a collective act of kindness for those behind the sirens. We called it Siren Call.

Over six weeks, our volunteers unloaded, unpacked, sealed and reloaded more than 240 truck pallets; sourced and sorted more than 138,000 donations and packed more than 7,000 bags destined for London Ambulance (LAS) front line staff, including those billeted in hotels to protect their loved ones.

Brands big, small, luxury, fast, local and global donated essentials from hand cream to shaving gel to T-Shirts, PJs and underwear.

Thousands of individual Londoners sent hand-written thank you letters to keep spirits up.

Everything, including warehousing, logistics, haulage, the masks the volunteers wore has been donated.

While the work of London Ambulance keeping us safe goes on, Siren Call’s mission is completed.
